Guidelines for speakers
To provide balanced overview of the state of the art by invited speakers and an opportunity to present the latest results in research, we prepared a dense program for the Congress. In order to run this tight program smoothly we need all speakers to rigorously stick to the allotted presentation time and prepare their talks following the guidelines below.
1. Time slots:
a. Invited lectures in plenary sessions:
i. For each talk, please refer to the program HERE. We allocated a separate time slot for discussions in each plenary session.
b. Abstract papers in parallel sessions:
i. 8 minutes for presentation, followed by 2 minutes for discussion
c. Morning seminars:
i. The presentation time is either 15 or 20 minutes depending on the number of talks scheduled for the relevant session (please refer to the program on the website). Please allow ample time for Q&A following your talk.
d. Poster sessions:
i. The presentation time is 3 minutes
2. Technical requirements:
a. All presentations must be uploaded at least two hours prior to your relevant session. The Speaker Ready room will operate from 7:30 AM– 6:30 PM hrs on Monday, 7:30 AM– 6:30 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday and 7:00 – 16:00 on Thursday. IT technicians will be at your disposal throughout opening hours to assist with uploading your slides. Please note that presentation using personal laptops will not be allowed during the sessions.
b. All presentation rooms will be equipped with wide screen (16:9), full HD (1920*1080) projection. For best results, please prepare your presentation accordingly.
c. The following presentation formats will be supported:
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• MacOS KeyNote
• PREZI off line (please not that online PREZI presentation will not be supported).
d. For flawless presentation of embedded video clips, please make sure that the original videos and the presentation are saved within the same folder and provide this folder for uploading.
e. In order to comply with the latest regulations of the European Union of Medical Specialists (U.E.M.S.), all speakers must insert a slide declaring conflicts of interest immediately following the title slide. Please find sample slides for no- or existing conflicts of interest HERE.
